The Palomar Mountain Planning Organization (PMPO) is a nonprofit, membership organization established in the early 1980's to help develop planning goals and proposals for the Palomar Mountain Community. The organization provides guidelines for future economic, social and physical development of the community!


The next PMPO Board Meeting will on November 10th, 2018 at 10:30am, followed by meetings on February 9th, 2019 and the Annual General Meeting on May 25th, 2019 at 10am (after the Annual Pancake breakfast) at the Fire Station

County 2020 Plan - DPLU (Department of Planning and Land Use)

A GP20/20 Committee was formed to respond to the County Draft Environmental Impact Report, which is due in late August 2009

November 2011 Update
On 9/29/11 the DPLU responded the PMPO with County recommendations to the 2020 Plan, based on inputs to the County

The Board held a Conference Call with the DPLU on 11/7/11, to discuss the variance between the recommendations,  here is the DPLU Response

Michael Walsh will contact the DPLU to further discuss the Density for the other areas on the Mountain than the area along State Park Road, the Summit to the St Park (30 parcels)
