Save Palomar Mountain Task Force (SPMTF) is an external committee of Palomar Mountain Planning Organization.The Save Palomar Mountain Task Force has been established to address the threat to Palomar represented by the potential installation of a 500,000-volt transmission on Palomar Mountain.

Our activities
Outreach Campaigns about the Potential Risks for the Mountain and its Residents and Visitors
- To the general public through our website and social media (Facebook, Instagram, Threads, and many individual accounts).
- To the Palomar Mountain residents through updates at PMPO quarterly meetings. We urge residents to report sightings of surveyors or environmental workers on their property, while we continue exploring all possible routes the line good take until this information is officially disclosed to us.create a better future for all.
Highlight the Public Benefit of Palomar Mountain
To showcase the Mountain’s significance to all (ecological, recreational, astronomical, and more…), we are calling for and collecting testimonials You can read the testimonials received so far and add yours here.
Identify and Quantify Risks
The transmission line would disrupt the ecosystem, endanger the public, and increase wildfire risk. We are collecting documentation and data to reflect these various impacts.
