PALOMAR MOUNTAIN PLANNING ORGANIZATION
CONFLICT OF INTEREST POLICY
The Palomar Mountain Planning Organization (PMPO) Board of Directors affirms
that they have
an obligation to exercise their authority and to carry out the duties of their
respective positions
for the benefit of the PMPO and the Palomar Community that the PMPO represents.
Decisions
and actions of the PMPO Board should always be made in the best interests of the
PMPO and the
Palomar Community, and should not be influenced by the personal gain, financial
or otherwise,
of any PMPO Board member. The PMPO Board members should avoid placing themselves
in
positions in which their personal interests are, or may be, in conflict with the
best interests of the
PMPO or the Palomar Community. Where an actual, potential, or apparent conflict
of interest
exists, it shall be the responsibility of the person involved or any other
person with knowledge to
notify the Chairman of the PMPO of the circumstances resulting in the actual,
potential, or
apparent conflict so that the Board of Directors can provide such guidance and
take such action
as it shall deem appropriate. If a PMPO Board member believes that he or she has
a conflict of
interest, the Board member may also choose to recuse themselves from any Board
action,
regardless of Board guidance.
I have read, and understand that it is my responsibility to adhere to the
Conflict of Interest
Policy, which includes notifying the Chairman of the Board if I become aware of
any actual,
potential, or apparent conflict situation. I understand that I am required to
update this Disclosure
Form, or notify the PMPO Chairman as provided above, if and as the information
contained
herein changes.
